This section is for all instructors teaching, or wanting to teach, the RYA Windsurfing Scheme.
In addition the instructor certificate is endorsed to show whether you are qualified to teach on inland or coastal waters.

NOTE: Membership of the RYA (or the National Governing Body for your boating activity in your country of residence) is required in order for you to qualify or revalidate as an RYA instructor.
RYA Cymru Wales are currently able to help subside the cost of some elements of instructor training in Wales for those working in a voluntary capacity in Clubs or Centres; please contact your Regional Development Officer for further details.
RYA Start to Windsurf Instructor Course
This course is five days of intensive but enjoyable training in all aspects of teaching beginners to windsurf. RYA Start Windsurfing instructors are qualified to teach the Start Windsurfing course and Stages 1 and 2 of the Youth Windsurfing Scheme under the supervision of a senior instructor. Eligibility

RYA Intermediate Windsurfing Instructor Course
RYA Intermediate windsurfing instructors are qualified to teach the Intermediate course and Youth Windsurfing Scheme under the supervision of a senior instructor.
The Intermediate course and instructor training is assessed in two competencies, non-planing and planing, and is the first instructor course to incorporate the new Fastfwd coaching tool. Eligibility
