If you have any questions about which fleet you should enter then please speak to your club coach or a member of WYA staff.
General Handicap – open to all classes of dinghies with separate starts for 29er or 420 with 6 or more entries.
Laser Fleet – open to all Laser rigs
Main Topper Fleet – open to all Topper sailors who are already or are aspiring to the National Squad Structure.
Main Optimist Fleet – open to sailors who are of regional squad standard, have already competed at a national event or sail at a gold or silver standard at CYRC’s
The Regatta Fleets
Optimist / Topper / General Handicap - open to all 1st year sailors in glass fibre / wooden or plastic boats. Ideal to try some smaller course racing with training Saturday morning if you are not yet ready to go it alone on the main fleet!
