Sailwave Workshop
The Sailwave course is delivered in 2 sessions. In the morning we will cover:
- Installing and setting up Sailwave on a laptop
- Setting up your event
- Entering competitors
- Entering results, including handicap and elapsed time finishes
- Publishing results
This will give you the skills to quickly and easily prepare results for club racing. In the afternoon we will cover:
- Importing competitors from other data sets
- Merging results (for example for End of Season trophies)
- Using penalty and other codes – including what they all mean!
- Using the PRIZE add-on
This will give you the skills to run the results service for a large championship meeting and to manage the season’s results for the club.
The Workshop costs £10 per person. PLEASE bring a laptop with you if at all possible.

SportsCoach UK Safeguarding and Protecting Children
The NSPCC SportsCoach UK Safeguarding and Protecting Children Workshop is designed for all for staff and volunteers working with children and young people in sport.
The course is ideal for all instructors and coaches working with juniors and youths at our sailing and windsurfing clubs. Course duration is three hours.
This workshop aims to increase awareness of safeguarding and protecting children, helping coaches to recognise signs of abuse and poor practice, and deal sensitively and effectively with issues that arise. It also prompts a review of coaching practice to ensure that sport provides a positive and enriching experience for children.
